How much should I be paid on a PHP-MySQL Database Project?

Asked 2010-03-08 18:41:55 by Adrian

Its a basic mysql database with a user-friendly interface for the layman user. I'm not really sure how the rates go as I've been an employee on my 2-year job experience and havent gone freelancing ever. Hopefully someone here knows, I'm coming from the Philippines by the way and the client is from the same country. And yes I know how to go about the project, its just the market fee that I dont know how much it should be.

There's basically two ways to look at this: 1. How much is the time worth to you? Add 20% to that and see if the client is willing to pay it. Negotiate from there. -- or -- 2. Search freelancer.com for comparable projects. Figure out an acceptable starting point from there. Just remember that charging too much or too little can lead to bad business in the future. Be flexible without being a push over.
